Position Overview: Homeword is on the lookout for a dedicated Chief Executive Officer to guide and enhance our organization as we embark on our next chapter. Key Responsibilities: The CEO will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Homeword, ensuring the effective operation of our programs and services while empowering our talented staff. Collaboration with our committed Board of Directors will be essential.

Leadership and Management: We seek candidates with a diverse range of skills and experiences. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Proven experience in leading teams and a strong track record in fundraising, including successful solicitation of significant donations.
  • Expertise in developing varied funding sources to secure financial stability and meet budgetary goals exceeding $1,000,000.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, with experience in donor engagement and stewardship.
  • Solid business acumen, including financial oversight and the ability to refine staff roles to maximize impact.

Board Governance and Community Engagement: The ideal candidate will have experience working with a Board of Directors and a demonstrated ability to build robust community partnerships and manage collaborations effectively.

Strategic Vision: A successful CEO will embody a visionary mindset, capable of articulating and inspiring the team towards shared goals. Experience in leading the design and implementation of strategic plans is crucial.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on interpersonal relations.
