As a Hospital Ambassador at Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients, families, and visitors. This is a per diem opportunity, allowing you to choose your schedule and work at your own pace.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients, families, and visitors in a polite, professional, and welcoming manner
Communicate and educate on entrance policies, including universal masking and visitor restrictions
Assist with patient and family inquiries and requests, actively listening and clearly responding
Ensure hospital lobbies and public areas are clean, safe, and uncluttered, adhering to infection control standards
Respond to requests for patient escort or assistance
Provide accurate, service-oriented responses to inquiries via patient information telephone lines, protecting patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies and guidelines
Work collaboratively with volunteers to ensure timely and service-oriented assistance
Participate in emergency procedures and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the Hospital Ambassador role
Requirements:
High school graduation required
Customer service experience required
Basic computer skills to access patient information through Epic
Ability to use good body mechanics to assist patients in wheelchairs to their destination
Effective and professional communication with a diverse population
Problem-solving and escalation of matters to departmental leadership as appropriate
