Position Overview

The Event Production Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the execution and coordination of performances and events at the Kennedy Center and The Reach. This role involves managing the intricate details of production operations for multiple events, often occurring simultaneously or in quick succession across various venues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively address and resolve production challenges while adhering to established labor agreements and utilizing available resources.
  • Occasionally act as the in-house production designer for significant fundraising events and contribute to the aesthetic design of stage presentations and external events.

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production management, technical production, stage management, or production design.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in theatrical design or technical management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all facets of theatrical production and presentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Basic familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks is advantageous.
  • Experience with ArtsVision software for production scheduling is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and financial management skills, along with supervisory experience, are essential for effective departmental management.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
