Position Summary:

The role involves monitoring production processes and packaging, conducting process sampling, and adhering to all safety and cGMP regulations at our facility. The individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant SOPs and plant protocols related to cGMP, safety, and personal conduct. Additionally, the role includes supporting the maintenance of an effective Food Safety and Quality System and contributing to its continuous improvement, with a commitment to producing quality, safe, and compliant products that meet or exceed customer specifications and adhere to all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Specific Duties:

  • Manage production activities during scheduled shifts, including running process samples and offloading raw materials while following all relevant SOPs.
  • Be prepared to cover all Operator roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to cGMP procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Guarantee that products are produced, packaged, and stored correctly.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor to address daily operational challenges.
  • Assist in resolving recurring issues and equipment malfunctions.
  • Support maintenance activities within the production area.
  • Accurately document batch records and control log sheets.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Promptly report all Health, Safety, and Environmental incidents and near misses.
  • Act in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hard hats, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and respirators.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow operational and safety procedures.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and mathematical capabilities.
  • Physical Demands / Work Environment:
    • Frequent requirements to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • Occasional need to climb stairs/ladders.
    • Must be able to lift 55 pounds and maneuver 250 lb. drums.
    • Specific vision abilities may include close vision.
  • Must be capable of performing under various conditions, including:
    • Completing packaging, blending, and inspection logs accurately per SOPs.
    • Working in confined or awkward spaces.
    • Working at elevated heights.
    • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Operating in noisy environments.
    • Working in areas that may be dusty and have chemical odors.
