SUMMARY:

PDQ Staffing is on the lookout for a skilled PID Planner in the Midlothian, TX region. The Planner will play a crucial role in orchestrating and strategizing schedules related to production and raw materials. This position is vital for managing product flow throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring timely order fulfillment by securing resource availability, and proactively advancing the planning schedule to discover innovative solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency.


SALARY RANGE: $55,000 - $65,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

  • Develops master production schedules based on requirements for safety stock, forecasts, customer orders, production efficiency, and machine availability. This includes effective communication regarding any discrepancies between demand and capacity.
  • Collaborates with the Purchasing team to guarantee that necessary materials are available for the master production schedule.
  • Maintains knowledge of packaging components and general product configurations for subassemblies and final assemblies, including current NPO, RPO, and ECOs.
  • Initiates continuous improvement initiatives to devise solutions for supply chain challenges.
  • Analyzes inventory usage, scrap, and waste, recommending appropriate actions to minimize losses and adjust inventory levels to support safety stock requirements, all while adhering to corporate planning metrics.
  • Coordinates with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality control teams to ensure a successful timeline for new product launches.
  • Demonstrates self-motivation, delivering quality work within deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Contributes effectively as a team member on all assignments.
  • Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited institution, or five to seven years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, or a combination of education and experience.
  • APICS certification classes and applicable experience may be beneficial.
  • Experience with MRP, BOMs, and ECOs in a manufacturing context.
