Job Title: Service Desk Associate

At Planet Fitness, we're committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our members and staff. As a Service Desk Associate, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our facilities and equipment are clean and well-maintained, while providing exceptional customer service to our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist members and guests, providing a positive and professional experience.
  • Monitor club access and ensure a secure environment for all.
  • Answer questions, handle complaints, and provide information to members and guests.
  • Sell memberships, process transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Operate Point-of-Sale systems, collect balances, and perform other administrative tasks.
  • Organize and maintain the customer service front desk, ensuring a clean and welcoming space.
  • Schedule appointments for fitness training sessions and complete checklists.
  • Perform club housekeeping duties, including cleaning equipment, floors, and facilities.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, embracing the contributions of all team members.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to help others, and ability to maintain composure in difficult situations.
Physical Environment & Requirements:

Primarily indoor environment with normal exposure to light, sound, heat, and cold. Must be able to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp, and reach. Must be able to move, lift, push, pull, and carry at least 60 lbs. Exposure to standard cleaning fluids and chemicals.
