Position Summary

As a Housekeeping Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting the housekeeping team to ensure seamless operations. Your primary focus will be to deliver outstanding service to both our team members and guests, contributing to a positive and memorable experience during their stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive punctually for all scheduled shifts in the appropriate uniform, including name tags, and maintain a friendly demeanor.
  • Utilize the radio and assignment sheet each morning to stay informed.
  • Review and update the assignment sheet with completed tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness by removing stains, dust, and debris from various surfaces.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and deliver items efficiently.
  • Ensure guest hallways are tidy by disposing of trash and debris.
  • Assist room attendants by collecting soiled linens and trash from guest rooms.
  • Inspect sofa beds for proper functionality and cleanliness.
  • Check under furniture for debris and reposition as necessary.
  • Store rollaways and cribs properly after use.
  • Vacuum corridors and clean windows, light fixtures, and air conditioning covers.
  • Sweep and mop staircases, ensuring they are free of debris.
  • Secure hotel property by ensuring doors are locked.
  • Address guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Clear the linen room at the end of the day, preparing soiled linens for pickup.
  • Submit a filled-out worksheet and radio at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure proper care of equipment and supplies.
  • Complete special assignments, including deep cleaning tasks.
  • Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintain open communication with the housekeeping department.
  • Report any facility issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols diligently.
  • Assist in receiving supplies and keeping storage areas organized.
  • Be adaptable to varying temperatures and work environments.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule based on occupancy levels.
  • Accept performance feedback professionally.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six months experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of communication devices and radios.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Capability to understand basic English.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety regulations is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
  • Occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings.

Note: Housekeeping Support Specialists may be assigned additional tasks as directed by the management team.
