Role Summary

The Facility Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the housekeeping division, ensuring seamless operations and teamwork. This position is vital in delivering exceptional service to both our staff and guests, contributing to their overall satisfaction during their stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Punctually report for all scheduled shifts in appropriate attire, including name tags and a welcoming smile.
  • Utilize communication devices and assignment sheets effectively each day.
  • Review daily assignments and update completed tasks accordingly.
  • Maintain cleanliness by removing stains, dust, and debris from various surfaces.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and deliver items efficiently.
  • Ensure guest hallways are tidy by disposing of trash and clutter.
  • Assist room attendants by collecting soiled linens and waste from guest rooms.
  • Inspect sofa beds for functionality and cleanliness.
  • Check under furniture for debris and reposition as necessary.
  • Organize and store items such as rollaways and cribs properly.
  • Vacuum corridors and clean windows, light fixtures, and air conditioning covers.
  • Sweep and mop staircases, ensuring they are free of debris.
  • Secure hotel property by ensuring doors are locked.
  • Address guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Clear the linen room at the end of shifts, preparing soiled linens for collection.
  • Submit communication devices and completed worksheets at the end of the day.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and supplies.
  • Complete special assignments, including deep cleaning tasks.
  • Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintain open communication with the housekeeping team.
  • Report any facility issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols diligently.
  • Assist in receiving supplies and keeping storage areas organized.
  • Be adaptable to varying temperatures and maintain mobility.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on occupancy levels.
  • Accept constructive feedback professionally.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six months experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of communication devices.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to understand basic English.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety regulations is a plus.
Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
  • Occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional exposure to varying environmental conditions.

*This position may require additional tasks as directed by the Housekeeping Management Team.
