Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of areas cleaned by assigned staff using a specified checklist.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
- Implement all housekeeping operational protocols.
- Maintain effective communication across all departments.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Executive Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper.
- Assist in managing departmental expenses, including uniforms, supplies, and damaged items.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to housekeeping personnel.
- Oversee the performance of assigned staff and provide corrective feedback as necessary.
- Identify training needs for staff and facilitate appropriate training.
- Encourage teamwork and foster a supportive work environment.
- Ensure proper inventory management and security of housekeeping supplies.
- Safeguard assigned areas and ensure all doors are secured.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate breaks for team members.
- Communicate any changes to assignment sheets as they occur during the shift.
- Recognize and address situations that may compromise departmental standards.
- Update area status after verifying cleanliness and condition according to departmental criteria.
- Complete maintenance work orders and follow up on repairs.
- Assess employee performance and provide retraining as necessary.
- Be knowledgeable about emergency and safety protocols.
- Conduct training for new hires.
- Manage customer complaints by following established resolution procedures to ensure satisfaction.
- Provide performance feedback to management.
- Report any disciplinary issues to management.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule.
- Comply with all safety regulations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Be capable of working in various temperatures and conditions (both indoors and outdoors).
- Have a working knowledge of company communication devices.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and logs.
- Keep management informed of the status of work assignments.
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented with strong observational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a related field.
