Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of areas cleaned by designated staff using a specific checklist.
  • Adhere to all company protocols and guidelines.
  • Implement all housekeeping operational procedures effectively.
  • Maintain clear communication across all departments.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Executive Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper.
  • Assist in managing departmental expenses, including uniforms and supplies.
  • Organize and assign tasks to housekeeping personnel.
  • Oversee the performance of assigned staff and provide corrective feedback as necessary.
  • Identify training needs for staff and facilitate training sessions.
  • Encourage teamwork and foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure proper inventory management and security of housekeeping materials.
  • Safeguard assigned areas and ensure all doors are secured.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate breaks for team members.
  • Communicate any changes to assignments as they occur during shifts.
  • Recognize and address situations that may compromise departmental standards.
  • Update area status after verifying cleanliness and condition according to established standards.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and follow up on repairs.
  • Assess employee performance and provide retraining as needed.
  • Be knowledgeable about emergency and safety protocols.
  • Conduct training for new hires.
  • Manage customer feedback and complaints following established procedures to ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide performance feedback to management.
  • Report any disciplinary issues to management.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and maintain mobility.
  • Familiarity with company communication devices.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and logs.
  • Keep management informed of work assignment statuses.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented with strong observational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a related field.

Compensation

$21.50 per hour
