Marketing Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Marketing Coordinator to join our team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our marketing efforts, including developing and executing digital campaigns, managing social media accounts, and creating engaging content for our diverse community of impact leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute and assist in shaping digital campaigns to strategically engage our diverse constituency
  • Manage and grow our social media accounts
  • Schedule all content (social, email, articles) within HubSpot
  • Generate original content for our organization's newsletters and the Marketplace
  • Provide input into challenge promotion communications and process with global challenges team leads and the digital marketing manager
  • Liaise with the director of marketing and communications on brand usage and trademark oversight
  • Work with the events team on speaker research, outreach, and communications
  • Write comprehensive communications and marketing materials for events to drive registration, attain new audiences, and raise awareness
  • Track, analyze, and report on data across marketing and communications and recommend improvements on content
  • Ensure our website is updated
  • Lead and/or participate in ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Two years' related experience
  • Flexible approach to responsibilities and ability to plan work to meet deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Interest in social impact and innovation
  • Strong writing skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality
  • Project management training/experience

We offer a competitive salary, with a minimum of $60,000, and a comprehensive benefits package. Our team members are expected to spend four weeks a year in our Cambridge offices, plus a week during the first month for onboarding.
