Cystic Fibrosis Nurse Program Coordinator

The Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking a skilled Nurse Program Coordinator to join our Cystic Fibrosis team at Mayland Medical Center in Richmond. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients and families affected by cystic fibrosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities and functions of the Cystic Fibrosis program to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and education.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Assist with program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide administrative support to the program team.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible/compact state.
  • AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a progressive leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience in staff education and professional development preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an academic healthcare setting.
  • Experience with similar patient population in an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice.
  • Completion of a Master's Degree in Nursing or certification in specialty area.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule, including shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet program requirements and/or needs.

The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and interact with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a professional and compassionate manner.
