ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the Flight Support Team, the Aircraft Mechanic Assistant will play a vital role in various functions within Epic Flight Support's Repair Station. This position involves supporting lead mechanics with routine maintenance tasks and ensuring the shop floor is organized and clean. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting skilled A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) Mechanics in diagnosing and repairing aircraft by adhering to both verbal and written instructions.
  • Removing, cleaning, inspecting, or replacing aircraft components in accordance with training and established procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment on a daily basis.
  • Following regulations and procedures related to Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Tool Control, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Cleaning aircraft windows and fuselage, vacuuming aircraft interiors, and ensuring surfaces are wiped down and sanitized.
  • Removing waste and maintaining cleanliness in the aircraft cockpit.
  • Supporting other areas as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in automotive or aircraft maintenance is preferred; recent A&P graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Professional demeanor and exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact with aircraft customers and team members.
  • A positive, teachable attitude, with a readiness to assist colleagues with various tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Team-oriented mindset to meet quality standards.
  • Strong adherence to instructions, work quality, and productivity expectations.
  • Physical capability to perform some lifting and stand for extended periods.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and disciplined individual.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship.
