ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a vital member of the Flight Support Team, the Aircraft Mechanic Assistant will provide support across various functions within Epic Flight Support's Repair Station. Responsibilities include aiding lead mechanics with routine maintenance tasks and ensuring the shop floor is well-organized and clean. Tasks may involve cleaning and polishing both the interior and exterior surfaces of aircraft. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a long-term career in aerospace.

  • Assist qualified A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) Mechanics in diagnosing and repairing aircraft by adhering to both verbal and written instructions as well as detailed procedures.
  • Remove, clean, inspect, or replace aircraft components in accordance with training and established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment on a daily basis.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Tool Control, and OSHA standards.
  • Clean aircraft windows and fuselage, vacuum floors, and wipe down surfaces.
  • Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness in the aircraft cockpit.
  • Assist in various tasks as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in automotive or aircraft maintenance is preferred; recent A&P graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills are essential, as interaction with customers and team members is required.
  • A positive and teachable attitude, with a readiness to assist team members in any task.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team to meet quality standards.
  • Strong commitment to following instructions, work quality, and productivity.
  • Physical capability to perform some lifting and stand for extended periods.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and disciplined individual.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship.
