Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts and documents preventative and productive maintenance on both GMP and non-GMP facility systems.
  • Performs regular quality checks on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Facilitates on-the-job training for newly hired maintenance technicians.
  • Identifies immediate and potential safety hazards and takes appropriate actions to address them.
  • Manages daily and weekly work orders, maintenance tasks, and reports with minimal supervision.
  • Organizes and maintains tools and equipment necessary for performing duties.
  • Coordinates and supports contractors working on building systems and equipment.
  • Assists the Facilities Manager with daily repair and maintenance operations.
  • Ensures a clean and safe working environment is maintained.
  • Utilizes knowledge and skills to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • May be required to work a varied on-call schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficient understanding of facility systems, including HVAC, compressed gases, water systems, electrical, and automation controls.
  • Capable of assembling and inspecting equipment.
  • Adept at evaluating equipment failures and developing effective action plans.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow operational manuals.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with hands-on technical skills.
  • Awareness of safety protocols and proper safety behavior.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tools and equipment relevant to the job.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in a cGMP environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be physically capable of working throughout various facilities.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, crawl, or climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in environments with extreme temperatures.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain personal vehicle insurance.

Compensation is commensurate with the skills and experience of the selected candidate.

Benefits Overview

Employees accrue over four weeks of paid time off annually. Employer contributions to a retirement account commence after 90 days without requiring employee matching or vesting.
