Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise front desk operations, including guest check-in and check-out, room assignments, and key management.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Train and develop front desk staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent guest service.
  • Monitor and maintain front office operations, including cash handling, credit card processing, and room inventory management.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest service and hotel operations.
  • Participate in lobby ambassador and other activities related to interacting with guests on an individual level, creating a relationship and culture that will result in repeat stays.
  • Oversee front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager or Assistant General Manager.
  • Perform bookkeeping activities, including balancing accounts and conducting audits.
  • Make and confirm reservations, as well as handle guest requests and complaints.
  • Promote Plazahotelelpaso and brand-specific marketing programs.
  • Ensure hotel entrance, reception, and other public areas are properly maintained in regards to cleanliness and appearance.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to Plazahotelelpaso's EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
