About the Job

As a Front Desk Manager at Vets Hired, you will be responsible for leading and assisting with the successful completion of daily shift requirements. You will oversee the front office areas, including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk, and strive to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Management of Front Desk Team
    • Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
    • Advocate sound financial/business decision-making and demonstrate honesty/integrity.
    • Lead by example and serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
  • Supporting Progress Toward Guest Services and Front Desk Goals
    • Support day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards, and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.
    • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
    • Handle complaints, settle disputes, resolve grievances, and conflicts, or otherwise negotiate with others.
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
    • Provide services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 1-year experience in guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.
