Job Overview

The UNM Medical Group, Inc. is in search of a dedicated Project Coordinator to become an integral part of our Truman Health Services Team. This role requires a strong communicator who is eager to contribute to a collaborative environment.

Salary Range: $49,025 - $61,276*

*Compensation is based on the total years of relevant experience.

*Salary is calculated on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) basis, which equates to 40 hours per week. For those working fewer hours, salary will be adjusted accordingly. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with extended hours on Thursday until 7 PM.

This position will report directly to the Program Operations Director.

Position Summary

The Project Coordinator will facilitate the execution of organization-wide initiatives within a complex environment. Responsibilities include supporting the evaluation of operational and clinical functions, assisting with various projects, and collaborating with personnel across all levels while adapting to change and working autonomously with minimal supervision.

Essential Qualifications for a Project Coordinator:

A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field along with at least one year of related experience is required. Educational qualifications and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis. Verification of education and credentials (if applicable) will be required upon selection.

Preferred Candidates:

Priority will be given to individuals who possess:

  • Experience delivering Community Health Worker services to complex populations.
  • Experience providing social support services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
  • Experience working with the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Experience in a community-based, multidisciplinary setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities of a Project Coordinator:
  1. Coordinate meetings, sessions, and events with leadership and stakeholders, documenting minutes and outcomes, and disseminating information to project team members.
  2. Assist in the creation, maintenance, and oversight of project plans; follow up on action items and decisions; develop and update various documentation and reports.
  3. Present data and reports in multiple formats.
  4. Research best practices; analyze, interpret, and evaluate various data.
  5. Monitor and document budget expenditures, invoices, and contracts for the designated department.
  6. Provide administrative support to the department.
  7. May engage in basic project management and training activities.
