Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and persuasive Sales and Marketing Professional to join our team at the Durham Bulls Baseball Club. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new sponsorship business through traditional sales efforts and creating innovative, non-traditional events that drive incremental revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive outside sales through cold calling, emailing, and meetings, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Develop and sell innovative sponsorship packages to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Research and build relationships with local, regional, and national companies/brands to highlight the advantages of investing in the Durham Bulls brand and our sports properties.
  • Execute the entirety of the sales process, including prospecting, building/presenting sales presentations, creating proposals, negotiating contracts, and upselling/renewing current partners.
  • Entertain clients and work various game day events, including nights and weekends.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes and advancements within the sports sponsorship landscape.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of relevant sales experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Sports marketing experience.
  • A solid understanding of marketing and promotions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Internet research skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A four-year college degree.
  • 4+ Years of relevant sales experience.
  • Radio or television advertising experience.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Close vision and ability to differentiate colors.
Work Environment
