Role Overview

The Marketing Coordinator role is integral to the Sales & Marketing division. This position calls for a proactive individual capable of managing various projects concurrently through effective prioritization and time management. The Marketing Coordinator acts as a key point of contact for the Sales & Marketing team, facilitating collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients. Both analytical and creative capabilities are essential to support product and corporate initiatives, driving improved sales outcomes and brand visibility in both new and established markets. We seek a detail-oriented, results-focused, and adaptable team player to thrive in this supportive position within the Sales and Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in creative initiatives, including brand management, product packaging, photography, videography, copywriting, and content development.
  • Assist in retail packaging projects from initial concept to final proof; maintain packaging records and liaise with vendors.
  • Oversee community engagement and public relations activities to showcase Westlake Services as a responsible corporate entity.
  • Manage branded materials, literature, and apparel for company-wide distribution.
  • Act as the representative voice for Westlake Services and its retail brands; develop and maintain social media profiles in line with brand identity, and respond to online feedback.
  • Coordinate trade show and retailer sample packaging.
  • Maintain product information and assets in a centralized database to support item creation and upkeep, ensuring accurate information and brand representation.
  • Conduct market research to support product and market development efforts, contributing to the creation of engaging, optimized content and visuals.
  • Collaborate with partners to maintain the corporate website, including proofreading, copywriting, and updates as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales or marketing role (including internships).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a preference for candidates with copywriting experience.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary.

Work Environment

The work environment typically has a moderate noise level, primarily based in an office setting. Some tasks may require working in operational units, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and hearing protection. There may be occasional exposure to outdoor elements and the need to navigate stairs. Travel, including air and automobile travel, may be required from time to time.
