Position:
Patient Services Coordinator

General Overview:
Welcomes, guides, and organizes appointments for patients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and timely manner. Acts as a bridge between patients and healthcare personnel.

Reports to:
Patient Care Manager &
Administrative Manager

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is advantageous. 3. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred. 4. Proficient computer skills are essential.

Physical Requirements:
May involve extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to perform under pressure and manage urgent situations. A high degree of focus and energy is necessary.

Essential Skills:
Excellent verbal communication and organizational abilities. Demonstrates a caring and empathetic approach. Proficient computer skills are required. Flexibility in work schedules is important. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with patients, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcomes patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner. 2.

Maintains and updates patient records, including contact information, primary care physician, emergency contacts, and insurance verification during each visit.

Assists patients with mobility needs. 3. Secures necessary signatures on forms and permits. 4. Schedules follow-up appointments as needed. 5. Reports any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor. 6. Takes messages and provides information to patients. 7. Verifies patient eligibility prior to appointments and informs patients of any issues. 8. Aids patients in using self-check-in kiosks. 9. Keeps the work area and waiting area clean and organized. 10. Performs additional duties as assigned. 11. Attends mandatory meetings. 12. Upholds patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. 13. Supports the organization's policies, procedures, and practices.
