Overview

The role involves evaluating and enhancing business systems, processes, and technologies to optimize resources and effectively address the needs of the organization.

This position requires strategic design and mapping of user stories to system and technical specifications. Responsibilities include creating and documenting process maps, as well as drafting technical specifications for new solutions, which may encompass custom development and system integrations. The analyst will provide recommendations for best practices regarding software and process solutions, assess training requirements, develop educational materials, and conduct training sessions.

Collaboration with IT personnel and leadership throughout all phases of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) is essential, along with the provision of necessary documentation deliverables. Additionally, this role involves troubleshooting and resolving a range of application and system issues, partnering with various departments, internal IT teams, and external vendors to ensure operational efficiency and performance.



Management Responsibilities:

Support and assist the activities of Business System Analyst I.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Provide moderate to advanced technical support for system users, including problem qualification, fault isolation, and resolution of system and application issues. Evaluate and prioritize client technical inquiries and problems, maintain records of incidents, requests, and changes in activity tracking systems. Conduct testing and validation of software fixes and new software versions/releases, and perform quality assurance reviews of deliverables for both internal and external use.

Manage complex application security rights through user roles and access. Document customer business functions and processes, serve as a technical resource for projects, update project plans and schedules, create project documentation, and complete assigned project tasks. Participate in stakeholder meetings as required, assist in developing training materials, and create end-user application training documents. Engage in gathering and documenting user requirements and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience in systems and/or application technical support is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency in standard software applications (MS Windows, MS Office, etc.) is essential. Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills are required, along with a clear and logical approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.

The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to establish and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues and the public in various settings is crucial. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, positivity, and discretion, and be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork, facilitation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills are necessary. Solid experience in software quality assurance testing is required.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Standard office environment with the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
