About the Role:


As a Business Systems Analyst, you will engage in analysis, design, and consulting support, while developing a comprehensive understanding of our clients' strategic direction, challenges, and project objectives.

You will serve as a liaison between user functionality and system developers, assisting in documenting, assessing, and translating business architectures and requirements into IT applications.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Organizing, facilitating, documenting, and participating in client meetings/workshops to conduct structured gathering, research, and analysis for developing and evaluating procedures, controls, user requirements, and functional specifications to identify gaps between the current and desired states.

2. Creating business requirement documents (BRDs) and translating them into use cases/functional specifications for customization.

3. Gathering requirements, defining functional requirements, user stories, and documenting business/data/application/technology architectures, requirements, and business rules.

4. Developing business process models/designs, logical data models, standards, and guidance.

5. Documenting and diagnosing issues, working to resolve software defects while ensuring technical compatibility and user satisfaction.

6. Analyzing, developing, and proposing enhancements to existing business processes, reports, and applications to optimize system effectiveness.

7. Conducting client interviews and producing meeting summaries.

8. Performing market/client research and industry analysis of requirements.

9. Producing high-quality verbal and written consulting deliverables (including proposals, client presentations, consulting reports) to effectively communicate project findings.

10. Generating reusable intellectual capital in the form of consulting methodologies, templates, blueprints, and business cases.

11. Basic scripting and project planning.

Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.

2. Experience in a management consulting environment is preferred.

3. 2+ years of SQL experience.

4. Familiarity with ETL processes.

5. Background in financial services or energy sectors is advantageous.

6. Experience in interviewing client executives to gather and document business requirements.

7. Proficiency in process mapping.

8. Strong presentation capabilities.

9. Experience in drafting project proposals.

10. Demonstrated project management skills and experience.

11. Bachelor's degree required; preferred majors include MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business, or Financial Engineering.

12. An advanced degree is a plus.
