The Washington State Department of Revenue is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Compliance Division as a Management Analyst 4. We are looking for an accomplished tax administration expert who embodies a positive outlook and champions continuous improvement. You will oversee divisional resources to ensure effective communication regarding risks and changes throughout the organization.
This position offers a unique opportunity to foster collaboration and cultivate strong partnerships while promoting an innovative environment. You must possess comprehensive knowledge of the agency's operational processes, tax administration programs, policies, and the functionalities of the ATLAS system.
The Compliance ATLAS Trainer will be responsible for:
- Assessing and identifying current and future training requirements related to ATLAS.
- Providing expert consultation to the division's Change Manager and Management Team.
- Planning, coordinating, and overseeing the division's ATLAS training initiatives.
- Developing, implementing, and delivering ATLAS training sessions for division personnel.
- Identifying training needs and designing curriculum accordingly.
- Creating and revising operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in business administration, law, public health, health administration, political science, environmental science, public administration, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in research and policy analysis, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relevant experience should include at least one (1) of the following:
- In-depth knowledge of the agency's operational processes and ATLAS system functionalities.
- Experience in coordinating, developing, and delivering training programs.
- Involvement in large-scale technology projects similar to ATLAS, including roles such as power user, deskside support, or trainer during any project phase.
- Conducting research, analysis, and recommending solutions for complex issues affecting the agency and its stakeholders.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating system testing and outcomes.
Note: Additional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Compliance division's programs, policies, and procedures.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in creating E-learning content using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, or similar software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
