Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Administration Expert to join our team at the Washington State Department of Revenue. As a Compliance Division Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective use of ATLAS, our tax administration system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and evaluate current and future ATLAS training needs and resources.
  • Provide consultation to the division's Change Manager and Management Team.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the division's ATLAS training program.
  • Coordinate, develop, implement, and present ATLAS training to division staff.
  • Recognize needs and create training curriculum based on these needs.
  • Create and update procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, law, public health, health administration, political science, environmental science, public administration, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations, or a comparable combination of graduate education and experience.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Expert knowledge of the agency's business processes, practices, and ATLAS system navigation and functionality.
  • Coordinating, developing, implementing, and presenting training to staff.
  • Experience in communicating effectively.
  • Experience creating E-learning training using Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, or similar software.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
