Job Title: Guest Service Agent

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Guest Service Agent to join our team at Innside New York. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests with a warm smile and assist with all requests, inquiries, and issues in a timely manner.
  • Attend daily pre-shift meetings to understand hotel happenings and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Complete daily shift reports to proactively deliver personalized service and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assign rooms based on guest preferences and needs, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.
  • Efficiently register new guests, introduce them to hotel services, and follow up with welcome calls to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Assist guests with concierge services, including dinner reservations, transportation, and other requests.
  • Actively learn guest preferences and proactively gather clues to deliver memorable experiences.
  • Maintain professional telephone etiquette and provide clear, complete, and accurate information to guests and clients.
  • Operate departmental equipment efficiently and detect potential faults to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide wake-up call services, take messages, and ensure guest information is kept confidential.
  • Perform check-out processes, process payments, and follow cash handling procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Previous Hotel Front Office experience preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be computer-literate, including written communication.
  • Bilingual English/French, English/Spanish, etc. preferred.
  • Knowledge of Opera Cloud (PMS) and HMobile preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external customers, both in written and verbal format.
  • Deal with the general public, customers, associates, and government officials with tact and courtesy.
  • Knowledgeable about local area attractions and transportation.
  • Ability to use mathematical skills to interpret billing computations.
  • Ability to plan and organize, change activity frequently, and cope with interruptions.
  • Must be flexible and able to work mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends, and/or holidays.
