Job Description

Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative will provide exceptional customer service to Regional Sales Managers, affiliated representative companies, and end customers. This role involves technical review of applications, commercial review of terms and conditions, and making recommendations to satisfy customer needs. The successful candidate will support specific geographical regions and key customers to develop a positive working relationship and meet sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Regional Sales Managers, affiliated representative companies, and end customers through technical application assessment, product presentations, and recommendations.
  2. Communicate efficiently with internal and external contacts, maintaining information to be shared with local DSMs and sales managers.
  3. Assist affiliated representative companies with product selection and pricing.
  4. Coordinate customer development efforts closely with outside sales representatives and Regional Sales Managers.
  5. Prepare quotations and offers, as well as assist in order entry as needed.
  6. Follow up on quotations and commitments.
  7. Work with resources within KROHNE to develop and coordinate technical and commercial responses to Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and sales leads.
  8. Work with resources within KROHNE to develop and coordinate technical and commercial responses based on Purchase Orders issued by customers.
  9. Obtain delivery commitments from production teams prior to finalizing quotations.
  10. Prepare or coordinate development of project documentation and submittals.
  11. Provide technical assistance to KROHNE sales channels and customers on the use of online sales tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a math or science-related field is preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics Engineering background is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

Skills and Qualities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both written and verbal communication.
  • Business writing skills.
  • Technical presentation skills via PowerPoint or other media.
  • Basic computer skills and literacy.
  • Understanding of basic commercial terms and conditions.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Project a positive attitude when working with people both within and without KROHNE.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to undertake additional tasks and responsibilities without direct managerial oversight.

Work Environment:

The work environment is usually moderate, with occasional domestic and international travel required for this role. The person must remain eligible for a Passport at all times.

Additional Skills:

  • Must be able to work autonomously and be a motivated self-starter.
  • Excellent social interaction skills, as well as excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills.
  • PC literacy is required.
  • Previous ERP experience preferred.
