Key Responsibilities:

As a Renal Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the nutritional care of patients undergoing dialysis. Your expertise will be essential in navigating the complexities of nephrology nutrition for patients with intricate health needs.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field is required.
  • At least 12 months of professional experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian.
  • State licensure, if applicable in the state of practice.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple patient units.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Maintain accurate nutritional records in the electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with dietary teams to develop and implement nutrition plans.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient nutrition based on laboratory results.
  • Work with patients and teams to establish and update care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on dietary modifications.
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervision:

This role reports directly to the Unit Leader.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a healthcare setting, which may involve exposure to various medical conditions and substances.

Physical Requirements:

The demands of this role include regular communication, standing, walking, and handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity and the ability to focus are also necessary.
