Position Overview
The Clinical Dietitian Specialist plays a crucial role in orchestrating and overseeing nutrition care activities for residents and patients, adhering to the standards set forth by Aramark, regulatory bodies, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in both inpatient and outpatient care as part of the scope of practice.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive nutrition intervention plan aligned with the Nutrition Care Process.
  • Perform thorough nutrition assessments for a diverse patient population, focusing on those with higher acuity levels.
  • Evaluate educational needs and identify barriers to learning, providing tailored nutrition counseling for individuals and groups.
  • Utilize assessment and evaluation methods that respect the unique needs of various age groups and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ensure appropriate follow-ups in line with patient treatment objectives, facilitating referrals for outpatient counseling and community services as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals, aiming to reduce hospital stays and readmission rates.
  • Document nutrition care plans accurately in patient medical records, including assessments, diagnoses, plans, implementations, and progress evaluations.
  • Maintain clinical efficiency and accurate records of daily activities, including scheduling and billing information.
  • Uphold accountability for the secure handling of patient health information.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience in Nutritional Support.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 24 months of clinical practice experience in the relevant specialty field.
  • Current Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential is mandatory.
  • Must maintain dietetic registration, state-required credentials, specialty certifications, and continuing education.
  • Completion of an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program is essential.
  • Successful completion of a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
