Position Overview:

Wells Fargo is in search of an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join our National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences by engaging in proactive outreach and recommending suitable products, services, and digital solutions to support customers in achieving their financial goals.
  • Assist clients with fundamental inquiries regarding account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
  • Follow guidance from management while exercising sound judgment within established policies and procedures.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of banking products and services to effectively address customer needs.
  • Engage with customers to foster relationships and demonstrate genuine care.
  • Provide tailored options for banking products and services to clients.
  • Refer customers' financial needs to appropriate bankers and partners as necessary.
  • This SAFE position involves customer interaction and responsibilities that may include offering or negotiating terms and/or processing applications for secured transactions, necessitating compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months of customer interaction experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service orientation with experience managing complex transactions across various systems.
  • Proven ability to proactively engage customers through outreach via phone or email.
  • Capability to educate customers about technology and the benefits of mobile banking options.
  • Experience in assisting customers to achieve financial success by connecting them with additional team members as appropriate.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to meet customer needs.
  • Experience in building and nurturing strong customer relationships.
  • Skill in establishing solid relationships with internal partners.
  • Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to identify potential fraud or risky accounts and take necessary actions to mitigate loss.
  • Professional interaction with customers and team members, demonstrating integrity.
  • Relevant military experience, including working with military protocols and personnel management.
  • Proficiency in sourcing, acquiring, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Support for customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.

Job Expectations:

  • Availability to work a schedule that may include Saturdays.
  • Completion of required language assessment.
  • Management of cash drawer, cash handling, and balancing, along with completing service-related tasks as necessary.
  • This position requires SAFE registration upon employment, with the registration process initiated immediately after the start date.
  • This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
