Overview
East West Bank is currently in search of experienced Commercial and Industrial Relationship Managers (RMs). This role addresses the needs of a diverse range of borrowers with varying credit structures and deposit requirements. The RM will exhibit strong underwriting and origination capabilities, alongside an established network of client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess increasing familiarity with the Bank's credit policies and procedures related to loan underwriting. The candidate will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and nurturing significant client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Establish and cultivate commercial banking relationships with middle-market prospects.
- Employ a high degree of creativity and independence in managing a portfolio of diverse and complex banking relationships with middle-market firms.
- Serve as a consultant to clients and a resource for the Bank in developing and retaining business.
- Utilize exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
- Achieve established individual, departmental, and Bank financial objectives.
- Coordinate the entire business origination, closing, and client servicing processes to uphold the Bank's excellence in service standards.
- Oversee the preparation of Credit Request Memos (CCR) for submission to line management and credit supervision for credit approval.
- Manage underwriting, monitoring, and forecasting for all directly originated loans.
- Build relationships with industry Centers of Influence and other business referral sources to identify creditworthy loan prospects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or preferably a Master’s degree, in Finance, Management, or a related field.
- Completion of a corporate or formal credit training program is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant business experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of underwriting, credit structuring, and banking products.
- Proven track record in selling and building relationships with C-level executives.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in sales, networking, negotiation, business acumen, relationship building, and execution of responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with significant experience in writing and group presentations.
- Critical thinking abilities, capable of developing strategies and making recommendations to management for advancing the Bank's objectives.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is USD $65,000.00/Yr. - USD $225,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
