Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with healthcare union members by providing assistance in both English and either Korean, Russian, Cantonese, or Mandarin, managing approximately 40 inbound calls daily.
• Your mission is to ensure that each member feels appreciated and supported - your focus is on service excellence.
• You may be required to translate written documents or provide spoken interpretation during meetings or other official gatherings.
Qualifications:
• Experience in dynamic environments, preferably in call centers, human services, or advocacy organizations. Experience in restaurants, retail, tech support, or hospitality is also valuable.
• A consistent work history with minimal employment gaps and a strong record of attendance.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess and interpret customer information objectively.
- Demonstrated capability to quickly learn and effectively utilize new technology systems.
- Relevant experience may include roles such as Receptionist, Data Collector, Billing Specialist, Insurance Claims Processor, or Sales Associate.
• Compensation: $25.65 per hour.
• This is a Direct Hire opportunity - you will be a permanent employee from the start.
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No weekends).
• This position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
o Generous Paid Time Off: 14 vacation days, 15 sick days, and 3 personal holidays annually.
o Paid holidays and time off from December 24th to January 1st (excluding weekends).
o Up to $25 monthly for fitness membership reimbursement or $300 for personal fitness equipment.
o Up to $100 monthly for Wi-Fi reimbursement.
o Up to $500 for work-from-home equipment reimbursement.
o Fully employer-paid family health, dental, vision, and pharmacy benefits, including for domestic partners.
o Fully employer-paid defined-benefit pension after three years of service.
o Generous leave package, including up to 24 weeks of parental leave after one year of employment.
