Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Office Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Family Office practice, you will be responsible for providing accounting and consulting services to ultra-high net worth individuals and family clients. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and reviewing general ledgers, generating and posting journal entries, coordinating monthly closes, and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting and consulting services to ultra-high net worth individuals and family clients, including partnership accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and bill payment.
  • Advise on complex intergenerational wealth strategies and best practices.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Manage and review bank, brokerage, and credit card reconciliations, as well as perform reconciliations and analysis for balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare annual K-1 reconciliations and assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax packages and supporting documents.
  • Respond to client requests and inquiries, and manage client relationships on a day-to-day basis.
  • Participate in special projects as needed, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA eligible preferred.
  • At least six to nine years of progressive accounting/bookkeeping experience.
  • Three plus years of professional services experience preferred.
  • Three plus years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong team management skills, including the ability to lead, direct, and coach staff.
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong personal relationships with peers within the firm and the business community.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong project management and client service skills.
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of GAAP and financial statements.
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to adhere to the highest level of confidentiality.
