Job Title: Security/Loss Prevention Officer PM

Location:

Nestled at the foot of Camelback Mountain, the Montelucia Resort & Spa features luxurious guestrooms, suites, and presidential suites. The resort's distinctive architecture is inspired by Spain's Andalusia region. The property includes the award-winning Joya Spa, three resort pools, and five dining options.

Job Summary:

This position ensures the safety and security of hotel guests, associates, and property. The Security/Loss Prevention Officer PM patrols the hotel property, answers house calls, and initiates investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.

Responsibilities:
  • Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees.
  • Answer house calls to assist guests and associates with safety and security concerns.
  • Initiate and follow-up on investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.
  • Assist sick or injured guests or associates, ensuring documentation and reporting are completed in a timely manner.
  • Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, and monitor investigations to their timely conclusion.
  • Maintain accurate records, including camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and employee/guest interactions.
  • Monitor and distribute visitor and vendor access to the property.
  • Perform frequent bag checks for associates leaving the property.
  • Escort and interact with special guests requiring privacy when entering or exiting the hotel through heart of the house areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive guest or associate issues.
  • Assist supervisor or director in checking alarm systems, safety, and fire alarm systems, and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas, delivery areas, and grounds.
  • Assist hotel management in emergency situations by knowing all hotel safety procedures and leading/directing guests and associates to safety.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours per shift.
  • Effective communication skills by telephone, email, radio, and reporting.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to reach various areas of the hotel/resort at a rapid pace if necessary.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including day, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
