Fleet Maintenance Technician

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Compensation:
Starting pay rate of $30 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of company vehicles in accordance with established policies.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize our maintenance software to document all repairs and inspections.
- Manage inventory and procure parts and supplies as necessary.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company standards.
Applicants should possess a solid understanding of diesel equipment and the tools necessary for troubleshooting and repairing both gasoline and diesel vehicles. Familiarity with International diesel medium-duty trucks and Ford gas and diesel engines is advantageous.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively perform preventive maintenance, identify component failures, and produce high-quality repairs. Proficiency in reading technical service manuals, repair orders, and gauges is essential.
Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license (C or better) and comply with the qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations. Physical capabilities should include the unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, lift (up to 50 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and maintain a horizontal position for extended periods.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and web-based maintenance tracking software is required. Strong verbal communication skills are necessary for ordering parts and supplies.
Work is conducted in both semi-enclosed and outdoor environments, with exposure to chemicals, gasoline/diesel fumes, and intermittent high noise levels.
Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of experience or a certificate from an accredited training program is required. Basic hand tools are necessary, and ASE or manufacturer certification is a plus.
