As a preventive maintenance technician at U-Haul, you will utilize proprietary technology to assess and maintain our fleet vehicles. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Secure vehicles on lifts and ramps.
  • Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor components.
  • Conduct tire and brake maintenance.
  • Occasionally test drive vehicles.
  • Utilize an electronic pre-inspection checklist.
  • Assist in other areas as directed by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and repair experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Consistent attendance.
Work Environment:
This role involves manual labor and requires maintaining safety and alertness at all times. Protective clothing or gear may be necessary.

Physical Demands:
While performing job duties, you should be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, with or without assistance. Frequent movement, standing, and maneuvering under equipment are required.
