Available Opportunity

Our Accounting & Finance Practice is seeking a full-time Staff Consultant who will report directly to the Senior Manager. While remote work is common, the new hire will need to travel to our corporate office and attend client meetings and conferences as required by business needs. This role is not solely focused on accounting tasks; it involves supporting broader business objectives, collaborating with various departments, diving into details, and solving client challenges.

Responsibilities of the Staff Consultant

The Staff Consultant will utilize their full skill set to address diverse client challenges. Recent initiatives include ensuring robust systems for accurate financial reporting and audits, managing change through process enhancements, and scaling accounting frameworks to support growth. Key responsibilities may include:

  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements, transforming accounting processes, and implementing accounting standards
  • Advising clients on enhancing internal controls, adopting new accounting standards, and assessing risks
  • Leading and participating in accounting software implementations, including upgrades and training
  • Researching and resolving technical inquiries
  • Staying updated on industry trends and providing value-added recommendations
  • Maintaining client relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2+ years of recent accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
  • Experience with ERP/Accounting systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • CPA certification
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset
  • A commitment to prioritizing client interests
