Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and review the work conducted by staff on standard testing and related substantive evaluations.
  • Conduct on-site assessments for assigned clients, focusing on controls, operations, and fraud detection.
  • Perform necessary financial controls evaluations and related analytics.
  • Complete testing as directed by the Engagement Director concerning identified risk areas.
  • Review initial drafts of financial statements for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAS through comprehensive checklists.
  • Prepare the 990 workbook as required.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of public accounting experience in an audit capacity.
  • At least one year of experience leading audit engagements.
  • Strong understanding of audit services, FASB, and GAAS.
  • Proficient technical skills in accounting and tax preparation; review experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong computer proficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience auditing non-profit organizations is highly desirable.
  • Experience in an internal audit setting is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
  • A CPA or demonstrated progress towards CPA certification.
