Key Responsibilities- Provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects, including development of design plans, horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, and typical sections.
- Design roadways to adhere to ADA Standards and bicycle guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate design development and provide technical expertise to the design team, ensuring quality deliverables within established schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate with clients, sub-consultants, and project managers to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with client technical staff and project managers, ensuring effective communication and project coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- EIT or plans to take the F.E. preferred, with a goal of obtaining PE certification.
- MDOT and municipal client experience is a plus, with a desire to learn and support the design of progressive transportation systems.
- Proficient with MicroStation and Inroads/Corridor modeling design software, with experience in OpenRoads Designer a plus.
- Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is required, with strong oral and written communication skills.
