Position Summary: The kitchen staff are essential in preparing and cooking menu offerings, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas, and assisting with various prep tasks as needed. A successful team member collaborates effectively, keeps their work area organized, completes additional assigned duties, adheres to safety protocols, and participates in required meetings and training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards to ensure exceptional quality.
  2. Organize and stock kitchen stations with necessary ingredients and equipment for efficient service.
  3. Work alongside team members to ensure timely and effective preparation and delivery of menu items.
  4. Assist in kitchen operations by performing prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning ingredients.
  5. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of food to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and promptly address any ingredient shortages.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, equipment, utensils, and storage spaces according to cleaning protocols.
  8. Help receive and store food and kitchen supply deliveries, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  9. Collaborate with the team to refine recipes, menu items, and cooking techniques.
  10. Communicate effectively with kitchen colleagues, servers, and supervisors to ensure seamless teamwork.
  11. Perform other assigned tasks from management to support smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
  1. Preferred experience as a line or prep cook.
  2. Possession of a valid Food Handlers Permit issued by the appropriate health department.
  3. Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
  4. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  5. Exhibit strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and composure under pressure.
  6. Maintain a positive attitude, calm demeanor in stressful situations, and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
  7. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  8. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  9. Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items as necessary.
  10. Minimum age requirement of 16 with legal authorization to work in the United States.
