Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting in the development of new menu items.
2. Performing various tasks across Dining Services, including:
   a. Setting up and closing food stations.
   b. Cooking and preparing ingredients.
   c. Managing inventory and dish machine operations.
   d. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
3. Ensuring food quality through monitoring temperature, taste, and presentation.
4. Training and guiding team members to enhance their skills.
5. Providing exceptional customer service to enhance guest experiences.

Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Culinary arts degree or two years of relevant culinary experience in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and measuring ingredients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team.
- Food Handler's permit or willingness to obtain one.

Preferred:
- Culinary arts degree or certification.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for high-quality food.
- Certification in Food Protection Management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and menu management software.

Work Environment:
This position requires physical activity and may involve working with food products. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required, but candidates may be subject to pre-employment and random testing for compliance with safety regulations.
