Position Overview

Job Title: Dining Service Associate

Department: Housing: HSS Dining Service

Role Summary:

The Dining Service Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the Dining Services sector. This includes setting up and dismantling service stations, preparing meals, restocking supplies, and managing inventory. The role also involves operating dishwashing equipment and maintaining cleanliness throughout the service areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective cost management and minimize waste.
  • Present food attractively and monitor its quality, including temperature, taste, and appearance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist in training new staff members.
  • Utilize computer systems for training, communication, and related tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent, along with one year of relevant experience in a work environment. Candidates must possess the ability to read, write, and perform basic measurements. Flexibility, effective communication skills, and teamwork are essential. A Food Handler's permit or the ability to obtain one by passing the Safety and Sanitation test is required. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs is necessary.

A criminal history background check is required for this position.


Salary:

$15.00 per hour.
