The Resident Programs team at Commonwealth Senior Living at Grand Rapids is seeking a skilled Activity Coordinator to assist in leading and executing resident programs. The ideal candidate will have a high school degree, with additional college experience preferred, and experience in a senior living environment strongly preferred. The Activity Coordinator will be responsible for planning, developing, and preparing a variety of exercises, social, recreational, and educational events for residents. They will also conduct transportation and medical transportation for residents, maintain knowledge of communities, services, and events in the area, and establish a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Resident Programs team with planning and developing resident programs
  • Conduct transportation and medical transportation for residents
  • Maintain knowledge of communities, services, and events in the area
  • Establish a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff
  • Promote teamwork and positive attitude among staff

Requirements:

  • High school degree, with additional college experience preferred
  • Experience in a senior living environment strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills and general healthcare knowledge
  • Clear and insurable driving record, current driver's license, and willingness to drive a passenger van
