About the Role:

The Activities Assistant position at Wyoming Healthcare Center is a dynamic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. As a member of our recreational staff, you will play a vital role in encouraging socialization and community involvement among our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities to promote socialization and community involvement among residents.
  • Work directly with residents to understand their interests and preferences and tailor activities accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other members of the activities department and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to resident care.
  • Provide individualized activity care and services to residents, including planning and implementing activities that meet their physical, emotional, and social needs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Prior experience preferably with related software applications
  • Basic computer literacy and skills
  • Must be able to plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities
  • Must possess an active state driver's license
