Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Youth Program Assistant to join our team at the Defense Logistics Agency in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising children and youth, planning activities, and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise children and youth during daily activities and outings.
  • Plan and coordinate activities based on individual needs.
  • Prepare and implement program options for children with special requirements.
  • Instruct team members in specific tasks and job techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • One of the following certifications required: Child Development Associate (CDA), Military School Age Credential, Army Youth Practicum, or other nationally recognized Youth Development Credential.
  • Two years of experience working in a group program with children or youth, or an associate's degree with relevant coursework.
