Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proficient in reading and writing in English, with the capability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary for tasks such as chemical mixing, surface area calculations, and labor-related computations.
  • Demonstrated reliability with an excellent attendance record and sound judgment; must be computer literate.
  • Experience in managing fleets and fueling vehicles.
  • Prior experience in employee supervision is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance operational efficiency in the yard and fuel station by directing and distributing tasks among Fleet Care Workers, fuelers, and probers.
  • Ensure that vehicle interiors and exteriors are maintained in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Keep vehicle interior documentation current.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to procure necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations regarding special event vehicles.
  • Engage with dispatch to track all vehicles that have entered service that day.
  • Work with maintenance to monitor out-of-service vehicles and those returning from the shop.
  • Maintain communication with fellow supervisors and lead technicians.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the work area and utility cart storage at the end of each shift.
  • Guarantee sufficient supplies for all utility and fueling personnel.
  • Ensure all fire lanes and emergency zones are properly marked at the end of the shift.
  • Report any issues that arise in the yard to the Assistant Maintenance Manager and/or Maintenance Manager.
  • Document and report all accidents or safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Address any problems related to the fuel station, wash bay, and vehicle parking area.
  • Contact clean energy services when issues occur at the fuel station.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain productivity levels of utility, fueling, and probing staff.
  • Compile and submit daily cleaning, fueling logs, and probing sheets to the Maintenance Manager at the end of the shift.
  • Availability to work night shifts and weekends is required.
  • Report any emergencies and their severity to management as necessary.
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections on vehicle cleanliness.
  • Facilitate daily meetings with utility and fueling staff.
  • Ensure that employees adhere to scheduled breaks and lunches.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
