We are seeking an enthusiastic individual eager to explore the hospitality sector. This role offers a pathway to career advancement into management positions. Exceptional candidates may progress to roles such as Front Desk Manager, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Guest Check-in & Check-out procedures
- Manage Property Management System (PMS) operations
- Handle cash transactions and credit card processing
- Operate the switchboard and maintain telephone etiquette
- Implement Front Office emergency and security protocols
- Assist with reservations for guest rooms and meeting spaces
- Support administrative tasks as directed by management
- Ensure the Front Desk area and lobby are kept clean and organized
- Prepare and maintain the breakfast bar, ensuring cleanliness
- Make minor decisions as necessary
- Coordinate group reservations and set up group blocks
- Promote guest room sales through new arrivals and phone inquiries
- Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in uniform with nametag
- Operate laundry facilities as instructed
- Exhibit a professional demeanor towards all guests, associates, and vendors
Essential Skills:
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)
- Basic mathematical skills
- Legible handwriting
- Computer literacy and typing proficiency
- Ability to operate a 10-key calculator
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with the public
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Skill in managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with night audit processes and basic accounting principles
