Job Overview

The Engineering & Manufacturing Operations Manager will oversee the daily design and production functions of the organization. This role will serve as the technical authority in the development and manufacturing of all product designs, ensuring a seamless transition through to product installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage all daily manufacturing operations, including supervision of the Design and Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Oversee project management for design readiness in preparation for manufacturing.
  • Identify and allocate necessary technical skills, resources, and systems to successfully deliver projects.
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturing and quality control standards, meeting performance and quality objectives.
  • Conduct vendor qualifications and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Lead the quoting process and develop production budgets.
  • Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to optimize inventory and production flow.
  • Provide technical engineering insights and contribute to risk management and technical oversight.
  • Collaborate closely with the Design and Manufacturing Engineer to prepare technical drawings and ensure design readiness.
  • Work alongside the Service and Operations Team to support product testing and validation efforts.
  • Contribute to planning initiatives for product enhancements, reliability, and safety improvements.
  • Develop budgets and assign resources appropriately.
  • Travel nationally and internationally as required.
  • Offer guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Participate in the formulation of engineering policies, procedures, and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple direct reports.
  • Experience in budget planning and resource management.
  • Strong planning, process development, and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and design manufacturing.
