Job Overview:

The Training Manager for Manufacturing Operations is accountable for creating training materials, evaluating the skills, performance, safety, productivity, and proficiency of associates within the manufacturing facility, along with providing written assessments that identify areas for improvement.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive morale among associates.
  • Oversee the implementation of the training program within the manufacturing facility.
  • Design and deliver onboarding training content that encompasses job-specific responsibilities, safety protocols, environmental considerations, quality assurance, and food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop tailored training plans for associates.
  • Facilitate competency evaluations for associates and create training plans aimed at enhancing their skills.
  • Partner with department leaders to review and revise standard operating procedures, work aids, and training materials.
  • Establish career development pathways for each hourly role within the manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate and manage developmental training sessions for plant leadership.
  • Work closely with department supervisors to ensure Master Control Training is completed for both existing and new employees.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to address external training requirements.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives related to training methodologies, programs, and content.
  • Work with management to maintain training records and monitor training performance metrics.
  • Assist in setting training milestones and objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license required, with adherence to company fleet policies.
  • Compliance with safety policies and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is crucial for this role.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure the safety and security of company assets.
  • Utilize all company-provided resources and technology effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience managing training programs is preferred.
  • Ability to observe, comprehend, and document various processes and communicate effectively with associates and plant leadership.
  • Capability to travel as required (approximately 15%).
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Strong organizational, planning, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
