Position Overview

Summary
The Youth Engagement Specialist is responsible for overseeing participants within the program environment, while supporting and upholding club objectives that prioritize the well-being and safety of all members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate active involvement of members in designated program areas and activities.
  • Encourage members to approach staff for guidance and support regarding any challenges they may face.
  • Provide nurturing supervision, respect, and acknowledgment of members' efforts.
  • Assist Site Coordinators in planning and executing a variety of program services and activities that are enjoyable, educational, and competitive, while fostering team-building skills.
  • Propose new initiatives with the consent of the Program Director and provide feedback on existing programs.
  • Maintain a safe environment that promotes positive values and ethical conduct through high-quality programming and upkeep of the Club's facilities.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for members.
  • Help manage inventories of all program materials and equipment.
  • Ensure that all related supplies and equipment are kept in excellent condition, including cleanliness and maintenance of the program area after use.
  • Participate in special events and programs as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday during specified hours.
  • Background checks and random drug screenings are required.
  • Demonstrated creative, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with members, including addressing disciplinary matters.
  • Experience in building relationships with youth and their families is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with children is advantageous but not mandatory.
